Data and Statistics
The HIV Integrated Planning Council uses a number of data sources in making its decisions. Much of this information comes from health departments. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health, AIDS Activities Coordinating Office (AACO) provides the Planning Council with data and other updates all through the year. The Planning Council also works with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the New Jersey Department of Health.
In some cases, the Planning Council needs data or other information that is not currently available. In these cases, the Planning Council and the Office of HIV Planning work together to produce needs assessments, reports, and other documents.
